While most of us are perfectly content with our Graco Quattro Tours, Maclaren Technos or Peg Perego Plikos; for the fabulous babies of the rich and famous, they just don’t cut it. Celebrity Mamas have made strollers a fashion accessory and most can’t get by with just one, they create a fleet of the most elaborate and expensive baby-pushing devices they can find! And leading the fleet of most Mamas is one of the two top of the line Prams by Silver Cross.

The Balmoral (retail $3,000) and Kensington (retail $2,000) Prams have pushed the babes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Elizabeth Hurley and Brooke Sheilds. The first famous babe to be pictured in one is the late Princess Diana (left) when she was about 1 years old!

The Balmoral is also a favorite of Ellen Degeneres who has gifted them to Britney Spears and Kevin Federline (below), Gwenyth Paltrow and Amanda Peet! What I want to know is how I get Ellen to come to my next shower!

What makes these prams so wonderful? They are literally hand crafted! There are more than 1,000 single hand operations to make these prams and each one comes with a signed certificate of authenticity from the craftsman who created it. They do require some assembly and though they weigh over 75 pounds, they only hold a child up to 30 lbs. They ride the baby higher than any other stroller though, giving Mom the best view and keeping the paparrazi at bay! Which must be the reason that new moms like Tori Spelling and Maggie Gyllenhaal have recently joined the Silver Cross Club, and in Gyllenhaal’s case, created her own fleet of Silver Cross pushchairs with no less than 3 models!
