The Comfy PC - Tech Gadgets for the Next Generation!

comfychildkeyboardsmall.jpgDoes your little one LOVE to sit on your lap and punch the keys on the computer while you TRY to type your latest email or message post? Mommies, (and Daddies) you are not alone! Fear not, for now there is a computer system just for your toddler or preschooler! The Comfy Baby Easy PC is here! The Comfy PC package includes a colorful keyboard and the “First Steps” game, for ages 1-3. This system is a great educational tool, it teaches kids words, colors, shapes and has stories they can watch. There are 3 levels in each game and there are different games you can buy for different ages. It’s really genius and the feedback for the extra games is great! The “Let’s Imagine” game is great for budding toddler personalities, and the kids just go nuts over the characters on screen. As your child gets older, you can buy the games more suited for preschoolers, like the “Animal World” game. This game helps kids identify animals based on their living environment (Arctic, Jungle, Forrest, Sea) and teaches them with interactive games, music and art projects.

Installation and Equipment:

It’s so easy to install, I’m sure that my 18 month old could do it! We set this system up the day we got it and our daughter loved it. The program is easily installed in under 3 minutes and the keyboard plugs into any open USB port, so you don’t have to change your current setup. The keyboard has a phone and colorful keys that change the image on the screen when you push them. The phone is a real hit right now, as she is obsessed with talking on the phone and the characters on screen talk to her on their phone when she is on the toy phone! She thinks it’s hilarious! Also, each additional game comes with a flexible plastic keyboard cover that changes the key symbols to suit the game… genius!

bellaconfy.jpgEntertainment Value and Longevity:

My daughter loved this game from the minute we set it up! It did take her a few minutes to understand that pressing the keys changed the screen, but once she figured it out she had a great time showing us “sunshine” and “yellow”, her 2 favorite keys! She gets so excited about it that she drags her high chair from the kitchen into the computer area and comes running up to me with the keyboard box shouting, “Pu-ter! Mama! Pwease!” Even now, after six weeks of this game in our house, she still gets excited over it and I feel great about her playing an educational game and learning basic computer skills in the process. This game is slowly preparing her for the technological world she is growing up in.

Other Mommy feedback:

The other moms that I polled had the same reaction to the system, it was easy to set up and their babies were enthralled. This is what fellow MommyAuctions mom Morgan had to say about the system’s performance with her 17 month old son, “(He) really likes it. Once he realized that pressing a button will result in an action he was very into it. He only likes to use it for maybe 5-10 minutes at a time but throughout the day he would bring me the console to hook up… He also learned the word moon, and the sound and movement for an elephant — so that’s a good sign!”
