Celebrity Maternity Style

mclongsleeve_medium1.jpgMaternity clothes can be a loose fitting mess, leaving the mommy-to-be feeling like she is wearing a tent around her rapidly expanding waistline.

In Hollywood, celebrities cope with this fashion dilemma by finding their own custom fit solutions. For expectant mommy Jennifer Lopez, that means having designer Roberto Cavalli create a complete wardrobe for a newly changing figure.

But not all stars have new wardrobes custom made, some buy clothes right off the designer’s shelves. MollyAnna maternity clothes (long sleeve t-shirt in red to the left) are currently popular in Tinsel Town. With fun and sassy slogans, MollyAnna T-Shirts were favorites of Brooke Shields, Heidi Klum, Holly Hunter, and Jennifer Garner during their pregnancies.

Other celebrity favorites include clothes by Chiarakruza (really hip, chic style), Childish (hip, sexy, and comfy), and even the affordable designs of Liz Lange. Recent celebrity moms-to-be Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera kept the rocker style they enjoyed pre-pregnancy by sporting t-shirts by Hot Mama Ink (pic to the right). If you enjoy a tattoo inspired fashionfirece_love_shirt_back_outside.jpg statement with a”hip edgy flair”, then Hot Mama Ink is for you!

If you are looking to mimic a celebrity mom’s style, most of these fashions can be found online. For me, I wore a lot of Target’s Liz Lange during my pregnancy. They were affordable, stylish, comfy, and convenient.
