Valentine’s Day is just around the corner- do you have plans with your hubby?
Whether you are going out or staying in, there are plans to be made! If you plan ahead you can avoid unnecessary frustration and waiting. Who wants to spend a day that should be fun and romantic running around stressed and harried?
Start your Valentine’s Day planning now so you can enjoy yourself later!
Valentine’s Count-Down Checklist:
Going Out?
•Make or confirm your reservations- don’t be caught waiting in line!
•Consider pre-purchasing any tickets to avoid long lines, or sell-outs.
•Book/ confirm your sitter, perhaps pick up a trinket gift such as chocolates to show your appreciation, good sitters are hard to come by!
• Figure out what you are going to wear- try everything on! Plan ahead to shop early if there is anything you need so you avoid a last minute trip.
•Treating yourself to special pampering? Make/ confirm any appointments for manicures, massages, etc.
Staying In?
• Plan your Valentine menu, shop for ingredients ahead of time. Print out your menu on cute paper or in red ink to create a special feeling. If you need to make a practice run, do it early so you have time to make changes if you desire.
• Clean any special serving pieces, dishes, linens you plan on using ahead of time- you’ll have enough to do preparing a meal!
•Gather candles, and any other items you will be using to decorate your table. Order flowers early, or shop for them a few days ahead of time to avoid lines and short supply.
•If you are ordering a special dessert from a favorite bakery or restaurant call your order in early!
• If you are renting a movie, do this well in advance to avoid poor selection.
Other Ideas to make your Hubby feel special this Valentine’s:
•Write him a love note detailing just how special he is to you.
•If the idea of going out in the evening seems more stressful than fun, make a special lunch date instead.
•Put a CD of romantic music in his car.
•Give him a small gift (lingerie is always appreciated!)
•Make a special breakfast, heart shaped pancakes with strawberries is easy and appetizing!
•Give him a candle-light massage- use scented lotion or oil.
