We learned the hard way that even kids need life insurance. Our 3 year old was diagnosed with cancer at 19 months of age, and since we don't have life insurance for him either will have to pay for funeral expenses and medical expenses for final days if that should be necessary or he will have a VERY hard time getting life insurance in the future. We have been told that he will have to be cancer free 5-10 years before he can apply for life insurance and even then he may be denied. Our other children now have life insurance. We never know what tomorrow will bring, so plan today. I don't say this to scare you, but we never thought this would happen to our family, and there is no way to know what might prevent our kids from getting insurance as adults.
