To register, you can do any of the following:
1) Click on the Soccer Ball that says "Register" under it 2) Find the Mommy To Be on the homepage and click on her! 3) Go to the bottom of the page and click on "Register"
All of these will take you to the registration page. Fill in your information, and you're done! :-) In accordance with the law, if you are under 18, you cannot participate in auctions as they legal binding contracts.
First of all, we will never share this information with anyone! Second we need this should we ever need to contact you or to have users information in case of fraudulent actions.
The first answer to this is, please check your spam folder. The second is that sometimes our initial e mails get blocked by spam filters through your e mail provider. And last, please e mail us if this happens and we will be happy to activate it for you. Please just e mail us your name, username, and phone number. We will take care of it right away.
For the future, you may want to add Support@MommyAuctions.com to your contacts so that we are not considered spam. :-)
You do not have to be verified in order to buy on Mommy Auctions, but doing so makes you a more appealing buyer. All the Sellers MUST be ID Verified in order to sell on Mommy Auctions.
On Mommy Auctions, people are putting their faith in other users to be honest about their items, descriptions, and information. It is our duty to do what we can to insure the integrity of our users. We believe that verifying our sellers ID's is a very important part of our role to keep Mommy Auctions as safe and secure as possible. We are confident that our users agree!
You must be logged into your Mommy Auctions account in order to be ID Verified. Once you are logged in, please go to the member's area. Click on the details link and go to the bottom of the page for instructions. In order to sell, you must first be a registered member. Once you have registered, simply login to your account and click on the "Sell" (Teddy Bear) button to begin. Here are the steps in detail:
Step 1: Here you will select one general category for your item.
Step 2: This step gives you the option to select second category (we suggest doing so if applicable). If you do not wish to choose a second category, click on "no additional category" at the top of the page. You can then enter in your chosen settings and item description.
Step 3: This step allows you to enter in the item details such as title and description.
First, you will choose the type of listing, either "Full Listing", or "Quick Listing". Choose "Full" if you wish to have control over auction start/end time, whether you would like to accept only ID Verified buyers or not, if you would like to feature your item, and more! If you just want to list a basic item and do not care to worry about these choices, then choose "Quick Listing".
Second, you will enter in your Title. Please include brief description of the item(s) for sale as well as size (if clothing).
Last, you will enter the description of the item. If you have a fancy HTML template, you will enter in the coding here.
Step 4: This step is where you choose all of the settings for your auction. Please read each choice and make each selection carefully. Here you will also upload any pictures you want to add and your location.
Step 5: Shipping and Payment information is taken care of on this step. You will need to enter in the shipping information and choose whether you would like to offer a flat shipping rate or calculated. Calculated shipping auctions tend to receive more bids! You should also check the boxes with your payment methods here. Once you have finished this step, the page will let you know if you owe any fees for your listing (which you only will if you have chosen to feature your item(s)).
At the end of this step, you will need to read the Terms and Conditions before submitting your auction.
Step 6: Here you can preview your auction before it is live. Go back and edit any problems you find.
Step 7: Congratulations! You have successfully submitted an auction to into the Mommy Auctions world!
Yes, you can! However, we recommend that you use basic tags as complex HTML descriptions may not display correctly. Fancy templates will work, you may need to adjust some coding. Please make sure that you do not have the templates with javascript (make sure you did not make it so that people cannot right click on your template). Please let us know if you need any help!
You can keep an eye on everything you are selling by visiting your "Members Area" and selecting the "Selling" page.
When you are ready to pay your fees, please go to your "member preferences". You will be able to view invoices from Mommy Auctions and can go straight to Paypal from there.
To place a bid on an item, you must first login to your account. Once logged in, a bidding box will be displayed at the top and bottom of all auction pages. You can use either one of these boxes to place your bid.
You can keep an eye on everything you are bidding on by visiting your "Members Area" and selecting the "Bidding" page. On this page you can see your current and past bids, favorite stores, and items you are watching as well!
Our auction system will automatically notify you via email if you are outbid.
Whether you are winning a bid or just bought an item via "Buy Now", you will go to your member's area and click on "Bidding". You can pay for your item by clicking on the "Pay" button. We suggest checking the auction details to see if the seller has special instructions for payment first. Then you can leave your shipping details, ask questions, etc. in the message board. The seller will be notified by Paypal or other payment gateway that they have been paid. We would also suggest letting them know that you have paid in the message board. Once the seller has received payment, they will mark your auction as paid through their account. Please reach out to us if there are any problems with a transaction.
Well, if you have won a bunch of items from the same seller, you will want to click on "direct". It will lump all of your fees into one payment so you don't have to pay one by one. You can still use this for just one item as well. If you have just one item per seller, you may want to just use "Paypal".
Setting up a store is very easy to do. Go to your "Member's Area" and click on the "Store" button. Once in the store section, you will be given the chance to name your store, activate the URL, add a logo, description, store policies, and edit categories. Once you have finished this, you will "save settings" and your store will be up and running!
You will add items to your store the same way you sell items normally. Click on the "Sell" (Teddy Bear) button on the top of the page. When you have a store it will give you three options: 1) Store, 2) Auction, or 3) Both. You should ALWAYS choose "Both". By choosing "Both", you will have your items listed in your store and also within the main categories. Choose "Store" if you would like to list some items just for your customers to find. Choose "Auction" if you are selling an item that you for some reason do not want in your store.
After you have chosen where you want you item(s) placed, you will then fill out the title, description (this is where you put html), shipping, and all other important information. When you are finished and submit the item, as long as you have chosen either "Store" or "Both", it will appear in your store!
This is because you did not choose "Both" when given the option of where to place your item(s). If you have chosen to place items in your "Store" only, but would like them available in "Auction" as well, then please contact us and we will fix this for you.
Good question! The very first thing that you should always do is send a message to your buyer via the message board in your member's area. This can be found next to the sold item. After you have done this, I would send them an invoice through Paypal or your payment processor of choice (you can get their e mail address in the message board as well). Then, your last resort should be sending them an e mail directly to their account. If all of this fails, you have 2 options; 1) you can relist your item when your payment terms have lapsed, leave them feedback, and send them a note letting them know you have done so OR 2) send us an e mail with the auction #(s) and the username of the buyer letting us know the situation. If you choose option #2, we will ask the buyer to submit payment within 3 days, at this time their account will be suspended if we have not heard anything. *Please allow one full week before you contact us. Most of the time people just take a little longer to make their payment.
If you have any further questions regarding this subject, please let us know. We suggest never accepting checks or money orders and only using Paypal or Google Checkout. Also, we rely on users to let us know of any suspicious or fraudulent sellers and buyers. We will ban any user who advertises and sells items that are not as they described. We will not tolerate any fraud. We do log IP addresses and will help any user in any way possible should a fraudulent transaction take place.
